What We Believe

About the Bible: The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. The Bible is our authority.  Our beliefs, without reservation, in the divine inspiration and preservation of God’s revealed will and mind to man. The Bible comes to us in 66 books that are contextual expressions of the decrees of God. In the Holy Scriptures we find principles that are still applicable to post-modern, pro-active, faith-walking 21st Century Christians today!

About God: There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man.  Omnipotent, Affectionate and One.

About Sin and Salvation: Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. As the Bible teaches, we believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works. Faith in Jesus is the means by which a person is justified. At the same time, a sinner must believe the gospel. They are commanded to repent of their sinful life, to be baptised and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38; 4:12; 8:12-17; 10:43-48; 19:1-6). Thus the various aspects of faith and obedience work together in God's grace to reconcile us to God.

About the Gospel:
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel by repentance (death to sin), water baptism (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection).

About Christian Living: As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a Holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. We believe that God, who is holy, calls each of us into relationship with Him. This relationship with Him manifests itself in every aspect of our lives, including our families.

About the Future: Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death.

Worship

IF YOU HAVE NEVER
had the opportunity to be in a Spirit-filled service before; you will discover that biblical expressions of worship are still practiced today. Join in with us as we praise God together in spirit and in truth.

WE PRAY TOGETHER ALOUD
because in the Bible we read, "They lifted up their voice to God with one accord." Acts 4:24

WE LIFT OUR HANDS IN PRAISE
because in the Bible we read, "Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord." Psalm 134:2

WE SING WITH ALL OUR HEARTS
because in the Bible we read, "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice and sing praise." Psalm 98:4

WE PLAY MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
because in the Bible we read, "And all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments." 2 Samuel 6:5

WE CLAP OUR HANDS AND SHOUT UNTO GOD
because in the Bible we read, "O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph." Psalm 47:1

WE DANCE BEFORE THE LORD
because in the Bible we read, "Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs." Psalm 150:4

WE ANOINT WITH OIL AND PRAY FOR THE SICK
because in the Bible we read, "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:" James 5:14

WE ALLOW THE OPERATION OF SPIRITUAL GIFTS
because in the Bible we read, "when ye come together, everyone of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation."
1 Cor. 14:26
